The development features 296 lots, ranging from 300 to 527 square meters, offering residential lots and house-and-lot properties.

Yume at Riverpark, an 18-hectare residential development in General Trias, Cavite, offers a Japanese-inspired approach to family living. The project extends beyond individual homes to consider the larger community environment. Developed by Federal Land NRE Global Inc. (FNG), a joint venture between Federal Land and Japan’s Nomura Real Estate Development, it marks their first residential project in Riverpark to express this Japanese design influence.

Flexible Homes for Growing Families

The development features 296 lots, ranging from 300 to 527 square meters, offering residential lots and house-and-lot properties. This variety gives homeowners different starting points, whether they prefer to build their own space or choose an established residence. The design considers how living arrangements can change over time, allowing for expansion and customization as needs evolve.

The Hikari and Niwa house models provide opportunities for residents to expand their spaces. This approach lets homeowners accommodate a growing family, changing routines, or new uses in the years ahead. In contrast, the Miyabi model offers a three-storey layout designed for multigenerational living. The entire second floor is dedicated to the master bedroom, providing parents with a more spacious and private area. The third floor features dedicated rooms for children, complemented by a hangout and entertainment area where they can relax and socialize.

The design philosophy behind these layouts draws from Japanese principles, emphasizing functionality and optimal space utilization. It focuses on tailoring rooms, storage, and circulation to meet the inhabitants’ needs, ensuring no area is underutilized.

Communal Spaces and Shared Environment

This approach extends beyond individual homes to the entire neighborhood. Yume at Riverpark integrates residences within a network of pathways, open spaces, landscaped areas, and shared facilities. Dedicated pocket parks cater to children, pets, and adults, supporting play, recreation, relaxation, and social interaction.

Architect Eduardo “Ed” Calma led the design, infusing Japanese influences into the homes and connecting spaces. The main entrance gatehouse echoes a torii, a traditional Japanese shrine gate. Throughout the residences, design elements merge with practical considerations. Exterior wooden louvres and natural concrete finishes contrast with interior wooden accents and muted, earth-tone colors. Sliding doors lead to lounging areas and hidden storage, while clerestory windows provide natural light and ventilation.

These design choices create versatile spaces that adapt to different uses, offering openness and connectivity when desired, and privacy and separation when needed. The development includes a clubhouse with a lounge, function room, and multipurpose hall. A wellness spa with sauna and jacuzzi provides a tranquil retreat. A multipurpose court, swimming pool, children’s play area, jogging paths, and outdoor fitness stations cater to various recreational activities and encourage community interaction.

Yume at Riverpark is part of the larger Riverpark development, envisioned as a mixed-use community combining residential, commercial, institutional, and recreational spaces. Located in Cavite, it benefits from ongoing infrastructure development and improved connectivity to Metro Manila. Planned facilities within Riverpark include medical centers, a university, shopping centers, hotels, and resorts. Major road connections, such as the Cavite-Laguna Expressway and Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway, enhance accessibility.

Yume at Riverpark’s design is influenced by its position within the broader Riverpark development, which aims to integrate residential, commercial, institutional, and recreational uses.

Designing for Change

For Yume at Riverpark, the concept of an evolving home centers on enabling residential spaces to adapt to their inhabitants’ changing needs. By offering diverse home layouts, adaptable spaces, and shared amenities, it allows households to shape their living environments over time.
